Perched at 480 metres along the Bottelary hills in Stellenbosch, Amperbo Wines takes its name from the Afrikaans phrase meaning "almost at the top," reflecting both its elevated terroir and the ambition of viticulturalist Pieter Smit and his wife Michelle to craft world-class wines from their hillside vines. The estate's distinctive blends and varietals, including Pinotage Tempranillo and their Infinitum offering, embody what the owners have achieved through their dedication to reaching toward something greater.
