Bartinney Private Cellar sits on the dramatic slopes of Botmaskop overlooking the Banhoek Valley, where since 1912 the Jordaan family has cultivated wines from old vines planted at heights up to 550 metres on slopes as steep as 45 degrees, creating distinctive Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon with carefully crafted character and expression. Rooted in a philosophy that harmonises agriculture with nature and sustainability with excellence, the estate pursues small-lot artisanal craft guided by the principle of elevage—the selective maturing of wine to its most noble expression.
