Nestled between the Simonsberg Mountains and Klapmuts Hill, Le Bonheur is a heritage estate dating to the 1700s that retains its original sense of place as a resting point for travellers, now producing classically styled wines with French influence from some of Stellenbosch's oldest plantings of Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate's diverse terroir—spanning altitudes to 450 metres with varied aspects, slopes, and soil types—yields complex, hand-harvested wines crafted under the direction of winemaker William Wilkinson, whose site-specific approach honours the property's timeless character.
