Meerlust has been the family custodian of winemaking since 1756, with eight generations continuing the tradition from its seventeenth-century manor house positioned just five kilometers from False Bay's cooling ocean breezes. The estate's distinctive terroir—deep, well-drained soils and maritime influences that slow grape ripening—yields concentrated, complex wines made exclusively from grapes grown on its own vineyards.
