Rust en Vrede is a historic Stellenbosch estate with roots stretching back to 1694, where Cape Dutch architecture and three centuries of winemaking tradition frame a focus on full-bodied reds, particularly Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on the warmer slopes of the Helderberg between False Bay and Table Mountain. The estate's distinctive terroir—sheltered from coastal winds and positioned on north-facing slopes at 85-130 meters elevation—produces wines of powerful structure and excellent aging potential, all grown, made, and bottled on the property itself.
