Skilpadvlei, a family-owned estate in Stellenbosch with roots reaching back to 1917, takes its name from a legendary colony of tortoises that once inhabited the vlei, a heritage now upheld by fourth-generation winemaker Willie Joubert through organically grown grapes and a commitment to quality.
